Ahnentafel #14. WILLIAM NELSON RANDALL: In June, 1991, Marion Randall Adams talked to her daughter, Elizabeth Jean Adams Moloney, about her father's (William Nelson Randall's) death. While Marion was visiting in Connecticut with her mother and brother, her father died of a gunshot wound. Marion had the feeling that his death was a suicide; her father knew too well how to handle guns. His death was a deep blow to her. She remembered the happy times with her good-natured father such as his giving her shoulder rides. Marion was eight years old when he died. William was married twice. His first marriage was with Elizabeth Brown, the daughter of Albert Brown and Susan Wright. Albert Brown was born in 1830 and died in 1915. Grace Randall was the daughter of the first marriage. His second marriage was with Emily Marcia Clarke, the daughter of Willard Benjamin Clarke and Lucy Burnham Ford. The children from the second marriage were Harold Clarke Randall and Marion Elizabeth Randall.

La Junta Tribune, 18 Aug 1900: W. N. Randall, our county commissionaer from the Rocky Ford district, left Wednesday morning for New Mexico in quest of sheep for feeding purposes next winter.

La Junta Tribune, 15 May 1901, p 1, c 3: W. M. Randall shipped 1,100 head of lambs to the Kansas City market this week. Mr. Randall says he will lose his labor and about one half the cost of feed for the season, but as he has been very successful for three years past in feeding has no regrets.

Named for William Nelson Randall, s/o John Caviler and Nancy Crocker who died 1861?
