Bird listening stations with analyis
A project developed by Kirk Moloney

The main page of this website provides links to websites presenting the analysis of birdsong data provided by two types of listening devices:Birdnet-Pis and PUCs. These and other bird listening devices have proliferated over the last few years. A bit more information follows:
Birdnet Pi
The first type of device is a Birdnet-Pi built on a Raspberry Pi Platform. More information about Birdnet on a Raspberry Pi can be obtained from the following websites:
- Basic info from Raspberry PI news feed
- How to build one
- Code for installing Birdnet to a Raspberry Pi
Birdweather PUC
The birdweather PUC device is designed to be portable but can also be hardwired in place to provide a permanent installation. There are a lot of stations out there and the number is growing rapidly. It is an easier device to employ than the Birdnet-Pi. Most of what you need to know can be obtained from the Birdweather website.
Analysis of birdsong data
The analyses presented on the linked birdsong websites were done with the R programming language using R-studio. Graphical output from R was organized as webpages using the jAlbum software package. I am happy to answer inquiries using the email address provided above.
