Kirk A. Moloney
I am an emeritus professor of plant ecology and have been an amateur photography for as long as I can remember. This website is a work in progress. My main focus over the last, few years has been to work to develop skills in bird photography. This was driven by the Covid pandemic lockdown which made travel impossible. Prior to this my focus had always been on landscape photography.
I hope you enjoy my efforts.
Jumping Off Points
* Daily Pictures: These are photos that I originally posted on Facebook, starting in 2015. This was the year I was on sabbatical with my family in New Zealand. Part of my goal at that time was to make a serious effort to get back into photography in anticipation of retirement. I have continued to update the Daily Pictures site since that time based on my posts online.
* Birds: This contains all things Bird (which was actually my nickname in high school). The majority of this contains bird phtographs from around the world organized into three main categories: (1) Location by country and/or state; (2) by Common Name; and (3) by Taxonomy.
A portion of this site also provides data from two bird listening stations I maintiain. One is currently located in Munn Woods, Ames, IA, USA. The second is located in Falcounbridge, New South Wales, Australia, in collaboration with my son who lives there.
I hope you enjoy my efforts.
